Discover and develop your digital potential
Is your company or organisation interested in developing in digitalisation, specifically in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and high performance computing? Then you’ve come to the right place. Through the European Digital Innovation Hub Mighty, we can offer you tailored solutions and expertise to guide you towards digital success.
Background
Mighty EDIH has been created to support SMEs in the manufacturing and public sector to develop in digitalisation, with a focus on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and high performance computing. Through a collaboration between RISE, Propell in Hudiksvall, Sandbacka Science Park in Sandviken, Dalarna Science Park in Borlänge and Compare in Karlstad, companies gain access to the necessary resources and expertise to navigate the digital transformation.
Purpose
Mighty EDIH aims to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of companies through digital transformation. The main goal is to offer companies and public organisations the tools and knowledge to streamline their processes and improve their services. Mighty wants to promote the use of advanced technologies such as AI and cybersecurity to solve practical problems and create new opportunities for growth. By offering access to advanced test environments, new networks for innovation, and opportunities for further education, Mighty strives to facilitate a smooth and efficient transition to digital ways of working. The project also emphasises the importance of sustainability, which means that the digital transition should not only promote economic growth but also contribute to environmental and social sustainability.
Through
Mighty, companies in the manufacturing industry and the public sector have access to test environments, new networks for innovation, opportunities for further training and support in finding funding to implement a digital and green transition. The initiative is based on a methodology that includes awareness raising, diagnosis, transformation plan, realisation and regional growth.
Services offered
- Measuring digital maturity: With the Digital Maturity Assessment (DMA) tool, companies can assess their digital maturity and get guidance.
- Technical advice and testing: Access to test and demo facilities to test advanced digital tools.
- Networking and funding assistance: Help find funding and create networking opportunities.
- Further training: Development opportunities in important areas of digitalisation.
The MIGHTY Method
Mighty Digital Transformation Toolbox serves as a digital transformation toolbox. The process includes:
- Raising awareness: Understand the possibilities of digitalisation. Many companies and the public sector lack insight into the potential of digitalisation and GovTech. Experience shows that reaching out from One-Stop-Shops is crucial to meet the needs and drive digitalisation.
- Diagnosis: Assessment of digital maturity and needs. Tools such as Digital Maturity Assessments and SWOT analyses identify strengths and weaknesses, creating a foundation for sustainable digital transformation.
- Transformation plan: Choice of initiatives and support for funding. Benchmarking, feasibility studies and coaching help companies find investments and partners. Public procurement is adapted to foster innovation and cooperation with Quadruple Helix for public value.
- Realisation: Implementation of digital changes. Mighty initiates and creates a resource plan to allocate the necessary resources and infrastructure.
- Regional Growth: Increased business and internationalisation. Mighty offers expertise and support to promote business growth and increased employment within the region.
GovTech
provides new smart welfare services and products for employees and citizens co-created by innovative companies and the public sector. GovTech strives to make the public sector more innovative and development-oriented by using new and emerging digital technologies. The aim is to make the use of tax resources more efficient and to improve the quality of life for all citizens. In order to accelerate the pace of innovation and increase the public value of the digital transformation, it is necessary to create closer cooperation between innovative companies and the public sector.
The GovTech ecosystem collaborates key actors such as users and value creators in the public and private sectors, facilitators supporting co-creation and skills development, and a support system that offers funding and rules for the ecosystem. Currently, the Swedish GovTech ecosystem is coordinated by Bron Innovation, a regional ICT cluster and Digital Innovation Hub located in Sundsvall, Västernorrland.
Results
Through Mighty EDIH, participating companies have reported increased efficiency, improved safety and ability to use advanced technologies such as AI. This progress has led to increased profitability and a stronger market position. Performance monitoring is carried out through KPI measurements for both SMEs and the public sector, with a focus on support, digital maturity and market potential.
Why is this a good example?
Mighty EDIH is an excellent example of how strategic collaboration and access to extensive resources can drive digital transformation. By combining expertise from prominent institutions such as RISE and several science parks, Mighty creates a strong platform for companies to overcome technical and financial barriers. This model shows that coordinated action can lead to significant improvements in efficiency, competitiveness and sustainability, benefiting both individual companies and industry as a whole.

What is a European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH)?
The European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) are a support system that opens up new opportunities for businesses and organisations to become more competitive by supporting their digital transformation. These hubs play a central role in the implementation of the EU Digital Europe programme and enable businesses and the public sector to benefit from the latest digital technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity and high performance computing (HPC). The aim of the EDIH initiative is to stimulate digital transformation in all sectors and in the public sector in the EU. The main focus is on increased digitalisation in companies, especially SMEs, as well as on those parts of the public sector that are in need of increased digitalisation.
Mighty is one of many EDIHars found around Europe. Sweden has been awarded four EDIHs funded by the EU DIGITAL programme. A further seven applicants are of such high quality that they qualified as EDIH, so-called “Seal of Excellence”. Mighty EDIH is one of the seven Seal of Excellence. Together, these 11 provide a good geographical spread of EDIH in Sweden. Through access to the EDIH network, we help each other with skills and can therefore find specific skills and other parties that match your challenges.
GovTech means new smart welfare services and products for employees and citizens co-created by innovative companies and the public sector.
