On 30 November 2023 at 10.00pm – 14.00pm, the European Commission is organising its third online Annual Digital Consumer Event to discuss the problems consumers are currently facing in the digital transition, with broad public participation, academics, consumer and business associations, and authorities.

The opening speech will be delivered by the Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders, followed by the Chair and Coordinators of the European Parliament’s Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee (IMCO).

The start of a cross-sectoral arena for digital excellence will be a conference focusing on skills supply within cyber security. Participants from the public and private sectors will explore solutions to meet the growing demand for skilled employees.

Built upon the European Digital Competence Framework (DigComp), this framework enables individuals to self-assess their digital skills, set learning objectives, and remains adaptable to the dynamic digital landscape.
