The Targeted Scholarships offered by the MERIT project at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University aims to enhance accessibility of master’s programmes focused on advanced digital skills and promote equality, diversity, and higher-level skills in computer science to meet the growing demand for experts in the fields of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and the Internet of Things.
The scholarship primarily covers tuition fees, study-related expenses (such as hardware, software, living, and travel costs), and aims to promote participation in the digital skills sector.
Expected duration of participation
The scholarship period ranges from 1 to 10 months, depending on application time and conditions. The scholarship is provided for the defined period of study and is paid in the following months:
- in the first year of study in October-June,
- in the second year of study in September-June.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be EU citizens.
- Be enrolled in the eligible MERIT project master’s programmes, i.e., Engineering of Artificial Intelligence or Management of Artificial Intelligence Solutions programmes.
- Submit a scholarship application detailing how the funds will contribute to the applicant’s development in digital skills and other necessary documents like proof of nationality and residence.
Funding
- Total Budget: up to 66 500,00 EUR
- Amount per person: €350/month, maximum of €10,820 over two years.
Timeline
The deadline to submit applications is set to 15 October 2025, 00:00 Brussels time.
