Registrations opened for SEMIC 2025
The leading European meeting on semantic interoperability and digital governance is back. SEMIC 2025 will take place in Copenhagen on 25 and 26 November, under the theme ‘Interoperability with impact’.
Organised by the European Commission, in cooperation with the Danish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the event brings together representatives from the public and private sectors, academia and professionals from all over Europe.
Two-day substance: from technical details to strategic discussions
25 November: The first day is dedicated to specialized workshops, aiming at an in-depth approach to technical issues and practical applications. Examples of good practices will be presented, with a focus on semantic interoperability as a key tool in designing a digital Europe.
26 November: The main workshop focuses on high-level strategic discussions on developments in interoperability, artificial intelligence, digital public administration and data-driven policy making. At the same time, there will be an exhibition with success stories and live demonstrations, while significant opportunities for networking will be offered.
Why join SEMIC 2025
SEMIC is a reference point for the digital transformation of the public sector in Europe. Last year’s event brought together almost 500 physical participants and more than 1,200 online participants, and the workshops attracted a total of over 680 people.
This year’s theme is expected to be equally dynamic, focusing on:
- data spaces;
- the connection between artificial intelligence and semantics;
- and the role of interoperability in shaping digitally-ready policies.
All of this is in line with the EU Digital Decade priorities for 2030.
