Malta Digital Skills and Jobs Platform (LISP)
Between 2021 and 2024, Portugal secured €1,178 million in the Horizon Europe programme, with a success rate of 18.6%, above the European average. Of the total raised, about 30% was provided by companies, with the remaining share divided between universities, research centers and other entities.
The strong national participation includes 1,983 projects, of which 519 are coordinated by Portugal. In Pillar II, the areas of health, climate, energy and industry concentrate the largest volumes of funding.
For 2025, new opportunities are planned such as Deep Tech vouchers and initiatives to support the preparation of applications, including the Call for Internationalization of R&I and the WIDERA programme.
