The participation of the 13th Primary School of Agrinio in the European eTwinning program entitled “Old, but Gold Games”, a project that connected the past with the present through the acquaintance with traditional games and the use of modern technological tools, was successfully completed.
The project involved 30 Roma students, under the guidance of teachers, collaborating with schools from nine European countries. The students had the opportunity to get to know and play forgotten traditional games from Greece and abroad, thus strengthening their cultural identity and developing intercultural understanding.
The project was not limited to the experiential approach of games, but also incorporated modern digital tools, which were used to document, present and disseminate the material. Students, through this process, developed important digital skills, enhancing their inclusivity and educational experience.
As part of the dissemination of the results of the program, a special event was organized where the young visitors admired the creations of the students and participated in games of traditional games, enjoying an interactive and educational experience.
The action “Old,but Gold Games”was a multifaceted and unforgettable experience for all participants. The program highlighted the importance of cultural education, classroom innovation and social inclusion, offering students valuable knowledge, skills and self-confidence.
