The partnership aims to promote the qualification and requalification of the Portuguese workforce, support the digital transformation of SMEs and strengthen the number of women in science and technology.

 

The Faculty of Science and Technology of the NOVA University of Lisbon | NOVA FCT announces the formalization of a Regional Skills Partnership for the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, under the Pact for Skills initiative of the European Commission.

The partnership is part of the European Skills Agenda, one of the flagship actions of the European Union to promote the qualification and reskilling of adults and involves the NOVA FCT Executive Education School and a set of strategic partners such as businesses, social partners, regional and local authorities.

The partnership includes the following goals:

  • Reskilling professionals over 45 years of age, promoting their inclusion and employability;
  • Support the digital transformation of SMEs, with a focus on training leadership teams and tailor-made solutions;
  • Encouraging the presence of women in science and technology by promoting equal opportunities;
  • Develop entrepreneurship skills among technology students, preparing them to lead innovation;
  • Contribute to a highly skilled workforce, able to respond to current and future challenges.
