On 14 June 2024, the Latvian Information and Communication Technology Association (LIKTA) concluded a cooperation agreement with the Central Finance and Contracting Agency (CFCA) on the project ‘Improving Digital Technology and Process Management Skills in Latvian Enterprises’ (contract. No 2.3.1.2.i.0/2/24/A/CFLA/007).

In the period up to 1 June this year, a total of more than 150 trainings have taken place, in which 578 ICT and other sector employees have supplemented their knowledge. More than 100 companies have been actively involved in the implementation of the project, using the opportunity provided by the EU with 100% support to develop their employees’ digital skills and improve their knowledge. Digital skills are most widely acquired in areas such as the implementation and management of digital solutions, cybersecurity and its specialisation training, as well as the introduction of new facilities or processes for the development of economic activity.

The project is implemented under the European Union Recovery and Resilience Facility Plan, component 2 ‘Digital transformation’, reform 2.3 and investment axis ‘Digital skills’, investment 2.3.1.2.i ‘Development of digital skills of enterprises’, round 2. Its purpose is to:  To increase digital technology and process management skills for employees of small (micro), small, medium and large enterprises of the Republic of Latvia for planning, implementation and maintenance of digitalisation, robotisation and automation, ensuring the relevant training programmes, thus promoting digital transformation and transformation, as well as digital innovation and export capacity growth.
