The European Pillar of Social Rights is the EU social strategy to ensure that the transitions to climate neutrality, digitalisation, and demographic change are socially fair and just.

Through the implementation of the Pillar, DG EMPL aims to help EU countries and businesses create more and better jobs, promote skills and entrepreneurship, improve the functioning of the labour markets, confront poverty and social exclusion, modernise social protection systems including pensions, health and long-term care, facilitate the free movement of workers, promote workers’ rights, health and safety at work, and protect against discrimination in the workplace, as well as the rights of persons with disabilities. Corporate ID, a Maltese company contracted by the EU, were entrusted to run a local awareness campaign on the subject. The objectives of this campaign are to:

Raise awareness and inform citizens about social rights in the EU by promoting the European Pillar of Social Rights Action Plan, particularly initiatives that have a direct impact on their daily lives.
Reinforce citizens’ and stakeholders’ trust in the EU as a social actor contributing to fair and inclusive employment and social policies, which will benefit citizens in the context of the green and digital recovery and, in the longer term, create a strong social Europe.

Corporate ID organised an interview with the eSkills Malta Foundation Chief Administrator, which was aired on the local TVAM Programme on the local TVM station on June 18, 2024.
