Researchers’ Night is a pan-European initiative that promotes research and science, with events taking place in more than 400 cities across Europe and Greece.
In Greece, 7 different cities, dozens of researchers and scientists, universities and research centers, coordinate and coordinate throughout the year, initiatives and actions to get to know us better with research and science. The activities culminate on the last Friday of each September with the Researcher’s Night events.
On Friday, September 26, 2025, researchers and scientists will guide visitors of all ages through the enchanting world of research. The events will take place in Thessaloniki, Athens, Larissa, Patras, Heraklion, Rethymno and Mytilene. Visitors will have the opportunity to watch and participate in live interactive experiments, have fun with research games and artistic events, see technological exhibitions as well as get to know distinguished researchers and scientists.
For the twelfth consecutive year, the National Technical University of Athens is participating in this great celebration of science. The Researchers’ Night at NTUA is organised in the framework of the European Programme “Science Odyssey: Research Missions under Starry Skies”. The actions are under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment and Energy, with the support of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sport, and are implemented by the NTUA in cooperation with the Technical Chamber of Greece and the TMEDE.
Researcher’s Night is not limited to just this one day: throughout the year, actions such as ‘Researchers in Schools’, the Chat Lab with live conversations with scientists, as well as podcasts and digital events that bring research and science closer to students in society and our daily lives are implemented.
It is a unique experience that highlights the role of science in progress, innovation and society.
