Procurement Conference on 6 October focusing on innovation, sustainability and efficiency
Supply Chain Magazine reunites procurement professionals at its annual Procurement conference, which takes place on October 6, 2025, at Nova SBE, in Carcavelos. Under the motto “Procurement strategies in the era of digital transformation: Innovation, Sustainability and Efficiency”, the meeting proposes a full day of knowledge sharing, debate and inspiration.
Throughout the programme – which includes studies, presentations, case studies and moments of discussion – topics such as artificial intelligence, supplier risk management, the digital transformation of sourcing, the role of teams and the evolution of shared service centres will be highlighted.
Confirmed speakers include professionals from EY, Mercadona, Syensqo, HBK FiberSensing, Pendular, Daufood (Domino’s Pizza), Moody’s, IBM, among others. The day begins with the presentation of the new EY study on Purchasing and Procurement in Portugal, followed by a “Procurement Clinic” with the consultant Miguel Nuno Silva, to deconstruct (with humor and clarity) the fundamentals of the function.
There will also be space to analyse the challenges and models of Procurement Shared Services, listen to Mercadona’s testimony about its agri-food chain, and learn about the “new mandate” of procurement in fleet management and travel expenses, with the sharing of Syensqo.
The afternoon starts with a special moment – ‘Team, that super power’ – led by Daufood’s procurement team, and continues with practical cases on the implementation of procurement software, supplier risk management and the application of AI in procurement.
At the end, the round table “The Future of Procurement: Digitalisation, Sustainability and Global Collaboration’,with the already confirmed participation of Andreia Chaves, Director of Procurement and Materials Management, ULS West Lisbon and Oeiras; Manuel Castelo-Branco, Director of Purchasing, GIGAS and Ricardo Silva, Head of the Transversal Purchasing Division, Porto City Council.
In addition to the on-stage content, the conference will also be a privileged meeting point for networking among procurement, procurement and supply chain professionals. Throughout the day – at coffee breaks, lunch and informal moments – participants will have the opportunity to exchange experiences, discuss common challenges and strengthen the connection to an increasingly strategic and collaborative community. Being in pairs is often where the best ideas start.
Registration is now open and, until 15 August, participants benefit from special early bird conditions . More information and registration available at:
