NERSANT – Associação Empresarial da Região de Santarém, in partnership with the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, will hold on 24 July, between 10.30 and 12.00, the online workshop Technological Solutions for Digital Transition in Industry, as part of the Leader+Digital project, funded by the PRR – Recovery and Resilience Plan. The guest speaker is António Forno, founder and CEO of Creative Dynamics AI, who will share his experience in applying these technologies in real business contexts.

This session aims to support companies and professionals in identifying key technological solutions for the digital transition in the industrial sector, such as IIoT (Internet of Industrial Things), Artificial Intelligence, Automation and Digital Twins, among others. Practical implementation cases will also be explored, as well as efficacious digital leadership strategies.

The workshop starts at 10:30 a.m., followed by a first intervention on Industry 4.0 trends and challenges, where the main emerging technologies will be addressed, including the Industrial Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Robotics and Intelligent Automation, Digital Twins and real-time simulation, as well as the use of Big Data and Predictive Analysis. This intervention also highlights the most common barriers to the digitalisation of businesses and ways to overcome them.

At 10:55 am, the focus is on technological solutions with practical impact on the industry, with emphasis on platforms for real-time monitoring of production, integration of MES and ERP systems with sensors and IoT, AI applications for predictive maintenance and quality control, digital tools for energy management and sustainability, and cybersecurity in an increasingly digitalized industrial context.

At 11:20 a.m., national and international case studies and good practices of small and medium-sized industrial companies will be presented, with evidence of the benefits achieved, lessons learned and critical success factors. The session ends with a question and answer moment at 11.40, followed by the presentation of the Leader+Digital project at 11.50. Closure is scheduled for 12 noon.

This initiative is part of theLeader+Digital Measure, funded by the RRP and promoted by NERSANT in the region, which aims to empower business leaders and executives with advanced digital skills, reinforcing the strategic role of leadership in the digitalisation and competitiveness of Portuguese organisations.
