Malta Digital Skills and Jobs Platform (LISP)

The German Stiftung Neue Verantwortung (SNV) is dedicated to in-depth research on the political and societal aspects of digital technologies. It is organized as an association. Its goal is to gain insights into the topic of digitalization and, based on this, develop solutions and recommendations.

Its diverse activities include conducting comprehensive analyses, developing recommendations for political decision-makers, organizing workshops, and hosting public expert discussions.

The areas of work of the SNV are dynamic and continuously adapt to societal developments. These range from data economy, digital fundamental rights, surveillance, and democracy to technology and geopolitics. The SNV also addresses international cyber security policy, artificial intelligence, foreign policy, and the promotion of a digital public sphere.

The SNV team consists of experts with academic backgrounds and diverse experience in fields such as economics, engineering, and political science.

The SNV aims to provide independent expertise on current political and societal issues in the context of digital technologies. A particular focus is placed on the protection of fundamental and human rights, the promotion of the common good, and active participation in socio-political discourse.

To ensure its content independence, the SNV is financed through a mix of funding sources. In 2019, more than two-thirds of its total budget came from grants and donations from non-profit foundations and public institutions.
