Education at a Glance is OECD’s annual guide to the state of education around the world.
OECD – the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development
The 2024 edition focuses on equity in education, providing indicators on gaps in educational outcomes and discussing the effect of educational attainment on labour market outcomes.
Summary.
In brief, the report finds that secondary education attainment improved in most OECD countries. So have labour market outcomes for young adults most at risk of falling behind – another signifier of improved education quality. Other metrics point to less positive, but somehow expected trends: women continue to earn lower than their male counterparts, in spite of demonstrating better performance. Some light at the end of the tunnel: the earnings gap does appear to be shrinking.
