The European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (CEDEFOP) has opened a procurement procedure for a study aimed at improving the understanding of the evolving role of microcredentials in labour market related to education, training and learning.
Objectives
The study will map and analyse several interconnected areas:
- It will investigate the diversity (in terms of content, profile, and function) of microcredentials related to education, training, and learning in the labour market, using information from key stakeholders.
- It will focus on the significant role of quality assurance and recognition of practices.
- It will examine the relevance of microcredentials in specific labour market sectors.
- It will explore the evolving role of microcredentials in promoting social inclusion for disadvantaged learners and workers, particularly those aiming to showcase learning outcomes and experiences in a lifelong and comprehensive manner.
Eligibility Criteria
- The proposal may be submitted by single organisations or by a consortium.
- Eligible countries are EU Member States, countries belonging to the EEA and countries part of the Stabilisation and Access Agreements.
- The average annual turnover of the tenderer for the last 3 financial years should be at least 290.000 EUR.
- The project team must consist of at least:
- 1 Project Leader
- 3 Research Team Leaders
- 8 National Researchers
Funding
Total Budget: up to 440.000 EUR.

The deadline to submit applications is set to 16 September 2024, 15:59 Athens time.
