SUMMARY:Luxembourg Internet Days 2025
DESCRIPTION:The 12th edition of the Luxembourg Internet Days (LID) will take place on 18 and 19 November 2025. It is organised by LU‐CIX and hosted by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg. \nWhat are Luxembourg Internet Days?\nOrganised by LU-CIX\, over the years the Luxembourg Internet Days have become the ‘must-attend Internet event of the Greater Region’. \nOver two days\, more than 1\,200 ICT professionals\, decision-makers\, experts and public stakeholders meet to discuss key issues related to security\, sovereignty\, the cloud\, networks and digital resilience. \nFor the 2025 edition: \n\nFree and open access \, upon registration\nMore than 40 thematic conferences and workshops\nAn exhibition area with more than 45 stands\nHigh-level meetings and many networking opportunities\n\nTheme 2025: Security • Sovereignty • Resilience\nThis 12th edition will focus on the central issue of European digital sovereignty\, in the face of the dominance of major non-European cloud players. \nSome key questions that will guide the discussions: \n\nIf 90% of European data is hosted by non-European cloud giants\, is our sovereignty under threat?\nDoes dependence on these infrastructures jeopardise our security and resilience?\nAre there sovereign and viable alternatives for Europe?\n\nParticipants will be able to attend debates\, technical workshops and round tables to explore these crucial issues and identify concrete solutions. \nWho is the event for?\nThe event is aimed at a wide audience in the digital sector: \n\nNetwork\, cloud and cybersecurity professionals\nPublic actors and local authorities\nDigital companies and start-ups\nResearchers\, regulators and policy makers\n\nSeveral side events will enrich the programme: \n\nLUNOG8\, the technical conference dedicated to network operators\nGemengen Dag\, special day for municipalities (in French and Luxembourgish)\nAn open-source ‘Matrixmeets Luxchat’hackathon to foster collaboration and innovation\n\nMore information\, full calendar and registrations on the official website luxembourg-internet-days.com
