DESCRIPTION:On March 19-20\, 2025\, the Publications Office of the European Union and the data.europa.eu team is organising the 2025 edition of the EU Open Data Days at the European Convention Centre in Luxembourg (ECCL) and online. Bringing together data providers\, enthusiasts\, and re-users from Europe and beyond\, the hybrid event will promote the harnessing of open data’ power. \nThe dynamic field of open data is changing the way in which we understand\, engage with\, and shape our world. From fostering transparency and fuelling research to triggering technological advances and informing policymakers\, the potential of open data is unlimited. \nWho is this event for?\nThe EU Open Data Days is an event targeting: \n\nData publishers\nData analysts\nPublic policymakers\nAcademics\nPassionate advocates for open data!\n\nWhat will I get out of this?\nParticipants of the event will gain: \n\nSuccess stories & best practices: first-hand experiences from the front lines of European data policy and the work involved in the compilation of high-value datasets\, discover insights on data reuse in business models and the new frontiers of AI.\nChallenges & solutions: understand how to navigate the challenges of open data\, with perspectives from publishers and users.\nVisualising impact: explore how data visualisation is reshaping communication\, policymaking\, and citizen engagement.\nData literacy: unlock the full potential of open data through skill-building and innovative initiatives.\n\nEvent logistics\n\nTime: 13:30 -18:00 (Wednesday\, 19 March)\, 9:00 – 15:30 (Thursday\, 20 March)\nLocation: European Convention Centre in Luxembourg (ECCL) & online\nIn-person participation: The registration for in-person participation in the event is still open\, but the venue has reached full capacity. You can still register to be added to the waiting list.\nOnline broadcasting: The event will be broadcast online\, and no registration is required.
