DESCRIPTION:The seventh episode of the Digitial Skills Talks\, the online series hosted by the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform\, will focus on cybersecurity and the skills needed for the future. Featuring insights from the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) and leading industry experts\, this episode offers a deep look into the landscape of cybersecurity. \nAbout the 7th episode\nIn her speech introducing the EU Cyber Solidarity Act and Cybersecurity Skills Academy\, Margrethe Vestager\, executive vice president of the European Commission\, highlighted the critical importance of cybersecurity\, stating\, “Cybersecurity is a must-have. It is essential to protect our societies\, our citizens\, and our economy.” Currently\, Europe faces a shortage of nearly 1 million cybersecurity professionals (approximately 883\,000)\, while the global demand for cyber experts is projected to reach 4 million soon. \nWhat is Europe doing to address this pressing issue? How are various initiatives working to bridge the cybersecurity skills gap across the continent?
