SUMMARY:Sprout x DIGI-ME: 3-Week Digital Entrepreneurship Program
DESCRIPTION:Sprout x DIGI-ME is a collaborative initiative between the University’s Innovation and Ecosystems department and the DIGI-ME project (co-funded by the EU) to stimulate digital-first entrepreneurship among students and young people. Spaces are provided by the Vaasa Startup Factory\, funded by the Vaasa Startup Arcade Project. \nRequirements: a team of minimum two people — one business founder and one technical founder — both willing to commit to three weeks of hands-on work. That’s it\, we’ll help you with the rest. \nThis year’s program is built around real industrial challenges brought to you by our partner companies. Over three weeks you’ll be guided through problem identification\, customer-driven solution development\, and business modeling — culminating in your own pitch. \nThe program runs through three workshops\, one per week\, plus weekly office hours with industry representatives and entrepreneurship coaches: \n\n22 October: Industrial Challenges (Problem Space)\n26 October: Customer-Driven Solution (Solution Space)\n2 November: Business Modeling\n6 November: Final Pitch Day where you will present your business and find your next steps.\n\nAs with previous editions\, this is hands-on\, social\, and tangible: no hybrid or online-only activities. DESCRIPTION:On 17 November\, the Apply AI Summit marks the 1-year anniversary of the Apply AI Strategy\, concluding the first European AI Innovation Month. \nAbout the Apply AI Summit \nThis hybrid event will take place at the EGG (Brussels) and online\, combining physical and virtual activities via a Virtual Conference Platform. The Summit will showcase how trustworthy\, human-centric and innovative AI can boost the competitiveness of sectors such as healthcare\, mobility and the public sector. Concrete European use cases from various sectors already relying on homegrown AI models and systems will be highlighted to demonstrate their real socio-economic impact. These discussions will contribute to the implementation of the Apply AI Strategy and turning Europe into an AI Continent. \nParticipants will take part in activities such as:  \n\nGateway sessions exploring the Apply AI Strategy\nInsight trails discussions\, deep diving into specific sectors and their adoption of AI\nSessions at the crossroads of sectoral uptake and innovation\, complemented by hands-on demonstrations\, exhibitions\, and hackathons\nPanels providing new horizons on strategic topics such as Frontier AI and technological sovereignty\n\nRegistration will open on 1 September 2026.
